In 2023, two long-time Arcata residents sought to provide exceptional nutritious foods that support healthy living, and education to those looking to supplement healthier foods into their diet. David, a practicing mycologist with a BS in Biochemistry, and Oscar, a Community Organizer with a BA in Psychology and background in business, set out to cultivate adaptogenic mushrooms, microgreens, sprouts, and medicinal herbs. Humboldt Healing Harvest will offer our products to our local food web while educating community members and merchants about different ways to incorporate these highly nutritious and desirable foods into our everyday diet.
